Seven Arrested in Albertville Restaurant Raid
In a coordinated effort, Marshall County authorities and a Homeland Security taskforce raided Chow King, a Chinese restaurant in Albertville, on Friday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals. The operation was aimed at serving a warrant for Xu Feng, a Chinese national from New York accused of hiding out in Alabama. He is currently detained in the Marshall County Jail on federal fraud charges with a detainer issued and no bond.
During the raid, officials from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Albertville Police, along with agents from the Gulf of American Homeland Security taskforce, identified six additional individuals believed to be residing in the United States illegally. These individuals have since been transferred to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Etowah County.
