Alabama’s newest music festival, Magic City Flow Fest, is coming to Legion Field in Birmingham
Magic City Flow Fest: A New Hip-Hop Festival Coming to Birmingham in Fall 2025
A new music festival, Magic City Flow Fest, has been announced for October 18, 2025, at the historic Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. This hip-hop-focused event is organized by Johnny Grimes, who is also behind Furnace Fest and the Iron Hills Country Music Festival. In a recent Facebook post, Grimes expressed excitement about collaborating with friends Daniel Kyle McCartney and Chad Johnson to deliver an unforgettable day of hip-hop music. While full details of the festival remain under wraps, organizers teased an “unmatched lineup” and promised a lineup announcement on April 18.
Magic City Flow Fest will follow two other major music events in Birmingham: Furnace Fest, featuring rock and metal acts from October 3-5, and Iron Hills, highlighting country music on October 11-12. These three consecutive weekends of festivals mark a significant cultural moment for Birmingham’s music scene.
Legion Field, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2027, has long been a prominent site for sports and entertainment, hosting notable events such as the Magic City Classic and concerts by legends like U2 and Pink Floyd. In light of Mayor Randall Woodfin’s vision for revitalizing the venue for new opportunities, Magic City Flow Fest underscores Birmingham’s growing appeal as a hub for diverse musical experiences. With anticipation surrounding the lineup and performances, festival-goers are urged to mark their calendars for this exciting fall event.
