Oklahoma Clinches Seventh NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Title
The University of Oklahoma celebrated a significant victory by securing its seventh NCAA women’s gymnastics championship title at the 2025 national championships held in Fort Worth, Texas. The Sooners achieved an impressive score of 198.0125, surpassing competitors UCLA, who finished with 197.6125, as well as Missouri and Utah during the final events.
The 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships featured 36 teams, determined by their national qualifying scores. Teams were seeded and placed at four regional sites, with a combination of all-around competitors and individual event specialists also competing for top honors. Oklahoma’s continued excellence in gymnastics was exemplified by the guidance of coach K.J. Kindler, leading the team to victory for the third consecutive year.
The championship format included semifinal competitions, with the top two teams from each semifinal advancing to the final, while individual titles were awarded based on the highest cumulative scores during the semifinals. Oklahoma’s stellar performance throughout the season culminated in this latest title, reinforcing their status as a powerhouse in women’s collegiate gymnastics.
