UPDATE: Albertville Police say missing 15-year-old girl back home | News
15-Year-Old Kensleigh Shelton Found Safe After Disappearance
The Albertville Police Department announced that 15-year-old Kensleigh Shelton is “home safe and sound” following a concerning disappearance. Kensleigh was last seen leaving her home around 10 p.m. on Monday in a red Ford F-250. Her family reported scattered potential sightings stretching from Gadsden to Boaz, but no confirmed leads emerged.
Surveillance footage showed Kensleigh entering the truck, but the identity of the driver remains unknown. “Somebody obviously knows something,” expressed her mother, Kesha Holman. She emphasized that individuals might think they are protecting Kensleigh, but are instead placing her in greater danger. The family’s distress has heightened with each passing day, as they desperately seek their daughter’s safety and whereabouts. Holman characterized Kensleigh as a loving and cheerful girl who adores her siblings.
The family has publicly appealed for help, urging anyone with any information to come forward. They even offered a reward of $1,200 for leads that would aid in finding her. Her father, Steven Shelton, reassured that they are willing to take any measures necessary to ensure her safe return. Standing firm in their plea, her step-father, Nick Nelson, urged for her swift and safe return, stating, “It don’t matter, we just want our kid back.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Albertville Police Department at 256-878-1212.
