As America gears up to celebrate its birthday, Cherokee County and its neighboring areas are buzzing with vibrant events, from spectacular fireworks to joyful parades and concerts. Here’s a glimpse of the highlights for this 4th of July weekend.
Cherokee County kicks off festivities with a fireworks display on June 28 at Weiss Lake in Cedar Bluff, followed by the patriotic concert by the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra. On July 3, families can enjoy the 411 Drive-In’s live music and fireworks in Centre. The excitement continues through July 4, with multiple fireworks shows set in scenic locales like Bay Springs Marina and Little River Marina, each promising a night of fun.
Etowah County offers a lively Independence Day Celebration on July 4, featuring street closures for live music and food vendors in Gadsden, culminating in a fireworks launch from Memorial Bridge.
Marshall County will host a variety of events, including concerts and fireworks at Civitan Park on July 4, while Jackson County invites the community to a parade and vendor market in Scottsboro on July 5.
