Although Nashville SC triumphed 6-1, Huntsville City FC head coach Chris O’Neal viewed the game as a valuable opportunity for his team and Madison County to engage with a major league sports franchise. Notable Nashville SC players, such as goalkeeper Joe Willis and forward Sam Surridge, interacted with fans, offering a rare meet-and-greet experience that fans typically can’t access.
Despite inclement weather and a Wednesday night scheduling, Huntsville City CF drew a passionate crowd, showcasing its dedication since its inaugural season in 2023. Midfielder Alan Carleton noted that hosting such an esteemed team provided exposure for younger players, calling it a “good experience.”
