High-Speed Pursuit in Pickens County Leads to Arrest of 21-Year-Old Man
CARROLLTON, AL — A high-speed pursuit in Pickens County culminated in the arrest of Miguel Pascual, 21, on Sunday evening. Sheriff Jordan Powell reported that law enforcement officers attempted to engage Pascual, who fled the scene in his vehicle, prompting a coordinated chase involving multiple agencies throughout the county. The pursuit concluded safely when officers successfully deployed spike strips to disable the vehicle, ultimately leading to Pascual’s capture without further incident.
Following the pursuit, Pascual was booked into the Pickens County Jail on charges of attempting to elude authorities and driving under the influence of alcohol. As of this report, he remains in custody with a bond set at $1,000.
