Alabama A&M University Celebrates Graduation of 46 Student-Athletes
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – In a display of academic achievement, Alabama A&M University held its spring commencement ceremony at the AAMU Event Center, where 46 student-athletes received their degrees. Among the graduates, the football team led with 11 participants, underscoring the program’s commitment to balancing academics and athletics.
Graduates spanned various sports, including six from volleyball, five each from women’s basketball, softball, and outdoor track & field, while cheerleading had four graduates. Additional representation came from baseball (three), women’s soccer, men’s outdoor track & field (two each), and one each from men’s basketball, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis.
Highlights from graduate achievements include Elizabeth Hooker and Justice Murphy from cheerleading, both majoring in Biology, and notable contributions from the football team, featuring Victor Barbosa majoring in Entrepreneurship and Montrell Campbell in Business Management.
In the volleyball lineup, Keyara Brooks and TaNya Burnett both excelled in Biology, reflecting a strong academic foundation across disciplines.
