Deported Mexican man headed to prison after illegal return to Albertville | Crime
Native of Mexico Sentenced for Illegal Re-Entry into the U.S.
A 41-year-old man, Maximiliano Pablo-Cinto, a citizen of Guatemala, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for illegally re-entering the United States after being deported. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Corey L. Maze, following Pablo-Cinto’s guilty plea to the charge of illegal re-entry.
Pablo-Cinto’s legal troubles began with a prior conviction on November 27, 2017, when he was found guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama for possession of a firearm as a felon, resulting in a 45-month prison sentence. After his release, he was deported on February 7, 2019.
However, on February 7, 2025, he was arrested by the Albertville Police Department when he failed to appear in court regarding charges of fraud and identity theft. This led to the involvement of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and his transfer into federal custody.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations in collaboration with Albertville Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney R. Leann White prosecuted the case. This sentencing forms part of Operation Take Back America, a national initiative by the Department of Justice aimed at combating illegal immigration, dismantling cartels, and ensuring community safety against violent crime.
