Huntsville City FC unveils new mascot, uniforms
Huntsville City Football Club has introduced its official mascot, Marshall the Cosmic GOAT, along with a fresh uniform design, marking an exciting development for the team. The unveiling took place during an event where fans learned about Marshall’s backstory; once a simple farm goat, he underwent rigorous training and wound up in outer space before crash-landing at Wicks Family Field. In exchange for helping maintain the field, Marshall has secured his place with the team.
In conjunction with the introduction of Marshall, the club revealed its new “Rocket City Roots Kit.” This uniform is a tribute to Huntsville’s legacy of innovation and community spirit. According to Chad Emerson, the club’s Managing Director of Business Operations, Marshall and the new kit represent an added layer of excitement and engagement for fans at Wicks Family Field this season and beyond.
The kit features a unique jock tag with a rocket entwined in tree roots, symbolizing the city’s aspirations grounded in a rich heritage. The design also highlights “Twickenham” at the neck, honoring Huntsville’s original name and reflecting the city’s evolution into a center for progress and exploration.
The new uniform is set to make its debut during Huntsville City FC’s home opener against Philadelphia Union II on March 28, promising to bring renewed energy and enthusiasm to the team’s fan base.
