Meet AL.com’s 2025 North Alabama All-Region high school football team
North Alabama High School Football Standouts Recognized for 2025 Season
In a standout season for high school football, eight schools have made their mark on AL.com’s North Alabama All-Region team for 2025, each boasting three or more recognized players. The selection is based on individual season statistics and performance. Hartselle topped the list with six players earning either first or second-team honors, followed closely by Priceville and Guntersville, each with five honorees. James Clemens, Scottsboro, and Boaz each secured four player selections.
Highlighted among the players is Cutter Mays from Pisgah, who excelled as a sophomore quarterback, passing for over 2,485 yards and leading his team to the state semifinals. Other notable mentions include Braylon Lawson of Sparkman and Jacobi Edmondson of Scottsboro, both achieving remarkable rushing yards and touchdowns.
Recognition goes beyond team accolades, with standout awards also presented. Charleston Owens of Madison Academy, with 2,588 passing yards and 21 touchdowns, was named Player of the Year. Nick Price Jr. from North Jackson took home Offensive MVP honors, delivering an impressive performance with over 2,138 rushing yards. Defensively, Cortez Carr Jr. of Buckhorn earned the Defensive MVP title.
Greer Lovell, a freshman from Whitesburg Christian, was acknowledged as Newcomer of the Year for leading his team to their first playoff berth. Seth Parker of Priceville was named Coach of the Year, commending his exceptional leadership that led his team through a remarkable season. The season has highlighted the depth of talent in North Alabama’s high school football scene.
