Christmas on Main Celebration in Oxford: A Festive Tradition Returns
OXFORD, AL — Historic Main Street Oxford is set to come alive on Saturday, November 15, from noon to 6:30 p.m. with the annual Christmas on Main celebration, promising a day filled with holiday cheer, live music, and family-friendly activities. Over 50 artisan, craft, and food vendors will participate in the festive holiday market, along with special offers from local businesses.
A highlight of the event will be free photos with Santa, alongside the ever-popular Cookie Walk on Main starting at 1 p.m. Participants can pre-order tickets for $5, which can be collected at the Main Street tent before embarking on a cookie hunt at 11 different downtown locations.
Throughout the afternoon, Simmons Park will resonate with performances from local artists, including the Miss Oxford Volunteer representatives and both the Oxford High School Jazz Band and Choir. The celebration culminates with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m., led by Mayor Alton Craft.
Moreover, additional musical performances will take place at Dodson Memorial Presbyterian Church from 4 to 5 p.m., featuring choir renditions and a Nativity Reading. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring their families and friends to experience the season’s delightful atmosphere, support local businesses, and partake in one of Oxford’s cherished holiday traditions.
