Central Alabama Gears Up for Festive 2025 Holiday Celebrations
Communities across Central Alabama are unveiling their holiday schedules for 2025, featuring an array of Christmas parades, tree-lighting ceremonies, and seasonal festivities in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Anniston.
Birmingham Area Events:
The City of Birmingham will kick off celebrations with its Holiday Tree Lighting on December 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 710 20th Street North. Arlington Historic House will host “Christmas at Arlington,” showcasing Victorian decorations and music on December 6. Hoover City Hall will light its Christmas tree on December 2, accompanied by Santa and live performances. The Pelham Hometown Christmas Parade and tree lighting are set for December 13, featuring a vibrant parade along US-31. Trussville will also host a Christmas Parade on December 13, with a rain date of December 14.
Tuscaloosa Area Events:
The holiday season begins on November 24 with the Tinsel Trail Grand Opening at Government Plaza. Northport will celebrate “Dickens Downtown” on December 2, highlighting Victorian-themed attractions. Tuscaloosa’s 49th Annual Christmas Parade will occur on December 8, marked by a tree lighting at 5:30 p.m.
Anniston Area Events:
Anniston will host its Downtown Christmas Parade on December 6 at 6:30 p.m., and a Christmas Market on December 7 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Additionally, the “Countdown to Christmas” event is scheduled for November 20, kicking off the holiday season with music and crafts.
As communities come together, Central Alabama promises a festive and joyous holiday season in 2025.
