President Trump Address to Graduates
Severe Weather and Event Security Information for Upcoming Ceremony
As the upcoming ceremony approaches, attendees should be aware of important details regarding severe weather, security, and parking. In case of severe weather or lightning, shelter will be available at the Capstone Parking Deck, located at the northeast corner of 2nd Avenue and Bryant Drive. A cooling station and portable restrooms will also be nearby.
Parking will be offered at the Soccer Lot, accessible via University Boulevard, with shuttle services to Coleman Coliseum. Due to the attendance of the President of the United States, heightened security measures will be in effect. Guests must adhere to campus policies and Secret Service regulations; disruptive behavior will lead to removal from the event.
Attendees should expect to navigate enhanced security checkpoints, consenting to searches of their belongings. Prohibited items include umbrellas, large bags, and various electronic devices. In case of rain, ponchos are advised.
For ticketed guests, pedestrian access to the event will be through 2nd Avenue, entering via the main doors at Coleman’s north entrance. Graduates are required to wear University-issued regalia, which they should carry through the security checkpoint.
All guests must be with ticket holders for admission, and wheelchairs must be brought by those needing them, as rentals will not be available. Be prepared to arrive by 6 p.m. and ensure your mobile app is downloaded to access tickets.
