Gadsden, Ala. – The Gadsden Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on the 1000 block of Tidmore Bend Road late Wednesday afternoon. Officers arrived on the scene to find one victim, who received initial treatment before being airlifted to a regional medical facility.
According to police reports, the incident stemmed from an argument between the suspect and the victim at the victim’s residence. During this confrontation, the suspect allegedly fired into the home, striking the victim before fleeing the scene. However, the suspect was later located at his residence and apprehended after a brief foot chase.
Authorities have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public following the suspect’s arrest.
