Titomic Limited Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville
Titomic Limited proudly inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Huntsville with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, marking a significant milestone as it establishes its global headquarters. The 59,000-square-foot facility specializes in cold spray additive technology, targeting the oil, gas, defense, and aerospace sectors. This location will not only serve as a manufacturing hub but will also host live equipment demonstrations and act as a regional training center.
Company president Patricia Dare emphasized the facility’s importance in controlling production quality to meet customer expectations. Andy Whitt from First National Bank played a vital role in ensuring the site met Titomic’s requirements, expressing pride in witnessing this “monumental moment” for the company.
The ceremony drew government, defense officials, and community leaders, all eager to witness the demonstrations of Titomic’s advanced technologies. CEO Jim Simpson described the facility as a “launchpad for the next generation of high-performance manufacturing,” emphasizing Huntsville’s unique blend of industrial heritage and innovation.
Innovate Alabama, which provided over $12 million in support to Titomic through the LendAL initiative, is excited about the partnership’s potential impact on local growth and job creation. With ongoing collaborations with defense primes, the facility is set to produce critical components like titanium pressure vessels and space-grade shielding, contributing to national defense objectives such as supply chain resilience and operational readiness.
