Tools for School is coming to Linn Park, August 3; join us for a school supply giveaway and more – City of Birmingham, Alabama (.gov)
On August 3, 2025, Birmingham’s Linn Park transformed into a vibrant hub of community spirit as the City of Birmingham, in partnership with Window World, hosted the "Tools for School" event. This annual back-to-school celebration aimed to equip students and teachers with essential supplies and foster a sense of unity among residents.
From 2 to 5 p.m., attendees were greeted with a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain. A school supply giveaway ensured that students and Birmingham City Schools teachers had the necessary tools for the upcoming academic year. While supplies lasted, families received backpacks filled with essentials, alleviating the financial burden of back-to-school shopping. Birmingham City Schools teachers were also invited to pick up supplies by presenting their employee badges. (birminghamtimes.com)
The event’s festivities extended beyond the supply giveaway. A DJ set the mood with lively music, while food trucks offered a diverse array of culinary delights. Children enjoyed face painting, games, and inflatables, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement. Special appearances by mascots from The Birmingham Stallions and the Birmingham Squadron added to the day’s entertainment. The Birmingham Public Library contributed by distributing pre-packaged craft packs, goodies, and resources for families, further enriching the community experience. (bhm.k12.al.us)

He highlighted that the initiative was about more than just providing supplies; it was a testament to the city’s commitment to investing in the success of its students and teachers. (wvtm13.com)
