Birmingham Man Killed in Fairview Neighborhood Double Shooting
A tragic double shooting in Birmingham’s Fairview neighborhood on Tuesday morning has left one man dead and another injured. The incident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. in the 1500 block of Fifth Avenue West. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue team responded to a call about the shooting, discovering 23-year-old Frederick Demond Robertson Jr. dead inside a car parked near the curb.
Evidence from the scene indicates that Robertson and another man were seated in the vehicle when an unidentified person approached and opened fire, striking the car multiple times. A WVTM 13 crew at the site reported seeing the driver’s side window riddled with more than six bullet holes, compelling police to cordon off the area with crime scene tape.
