Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Cottondale Woman

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on Friday night, September 5, resulting in the death of 47-year-old Alisa Lamay from Cottondale. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Lamay was critically injured while riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Interstate 59. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail near the 63 mile marker.

Emergency responders airlifted Lamay to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital for urgent medical care. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about motorcycle safety on Alabama highways, as well as the vulnerabilities riders face while navigating busy roadways.
